Souper Bowl of Caring

Every year after the holidays, food banks experience a drop in donations at a time of year when their shelves are already low from holiday food donations to needy families. Won’t you help us restock the shelves at the Union Rescue Mission by donating non-perishable food items. We will be collecting the non-perishable food items from January 15 – 29, 2012. Items may be placed in the grocery cart at the back of the sanctuary.

Items Needed Most:

• Large (6 lb.) Cans of vegetables, potatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, fruit or fruit cocktail
• Large Bags of Dried pinto, navy, or lima beans
• Large Boxes of Spaghetti
• Large Jars of Peanut Butter

We were able to collect 101 boxes from our church. As a collection site, we were able to send 1,903 boxes to kids around the world through Samaritan’s Purse.
